Who doesn’t love a twinkling smile and a set of healthy teeth? Yes, of course, everyone loves to have a lovely smile on a face and healthy teeth and smile add beauty to your face. With unhealthy eating habits and a lazy attitude towards dental hygiene, this doesn’t make you keep a healthy smile on your face. When you eat, leftover bits of food blend with the bacteria inside your mouth to form plaque. The filmy, sticky substance coat’s your tooth surface and gums. Although the development of plaque is a continual natural occurrence, the substance can cause great damage to your teeth. Because plaque adheres to your teeth and gums and it produces bacterial acid directly on them.
There are billions of bacteria living inside our mouth. Many of these bacteria build up as plaque, it results in too much bacteria accumulating can enter our bloodstream and cause a number of issues. Causing tooth decay known as cavities and gingivitis known as inflammation of gums which can lead to periodontal disease. In some diseases like Alzheimer’s this condition occurs as most people age and results in cognitive function. You might be knowing a bad breath called Halitosis. The smell comes from a buildup of bacteria in your mouth, in food debris, or coating on the back of the tongue. These all things are interconnected with our oral hygiene, failing to brush and floss your teeth properly it will lead to so many issues as above mentioned.
So what are the things we should make now to avoid these problems? We should brush our teeth twice a day and we should educate our children to brush twice a day. Brushing habits differ from person to person, but experts say brushing twice each day for two minutes at a time. Along with brushing frequency, it is also important to consider the way you brush your teeth, the kind of brush you use, and other factors. Have a regular check-up with your dentist to have a healthy smile and an overall healthy body.
